Initial contact

Our first priority, from initial contact with a customer, is to establish the make-up of material waste to dispose of. This can either come through a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) or through our assessment and classification process.

Assessment & Classification

The Technical Sales Office complete a full technical assessment on the waste. The team will classify the material, including chemical composition (nature of the waste), volume and frequency, packaging and transportation and commercial expectations. If waste is hazardous, the team will assign the correct Hazard Code, EWC Code and UN Number.

If a sample is required, our on-site laboratories allow us to analyse samples, ensuring accurate information about the nature of the waste.

Waste is routed to the specific, suitable treatment process. This is cross-referenced with a strict legal framework to ensure the correct waste stream and process are matched.

Stage Four

Waste Received

Waste is received and analysed – appropriate testing is carried out to determine that the waste is the same as the original sample.

Waste on pallets is scanned and barcoded, ensuring that it’s documented as stock on site, until processing. By scanning waste as it arrives on to site and then as it’s processed through site, we are able to provide full traceability of materials arriving on site.

The customer receives confirmation of receipt of waste, to confirm legal ownership and certification.
