New storage capacity at Stoke
A new 60m transfer pipeline has been installed at the Stoke site to allow storage tanks which were previously used for oil/water mixtures, to be used for the storage of incoming alkaline wastes. This reflects the need to improve operational flexibility for APCr recycling at Stoke and hence to provide an improved customer service. The new set-up has doubled the alkaline waste storage capacity to over 200 tonnes and this has been achieved with zero loss of production time.
