New APCr Recycling Plant at Stoke-on-Trent

Construction is now complete and commissioning is underway on the new APCr recycling plant at Stoke-on-Trent. The project involved the installation of a new 110m3 powder storage silo, two new inclined conveyors, two new 20m3 stainless steel stirred mixing vessels and installation and refurbishment of a Schenck filter press. The process of recycling APCr and other powders is designed to remove the soluble components such as Chlorides. The processed material can then be used for purposes such as aggregates for concrete products or incorporation into reclamation projects. This major site investment has doubled the capacity for APCr recycling at the Stoke-on-Trent site. Enormous efforts by both Castle Environmental staff and dedicated contractors have ensured the completion of this project in 5 months.
