Automatic External Defibrillators at Ilkeston and Stoke

Castle Environmental has purchased two Philips Automatic External Defibrillators to supplement the existing first aid equipment.An AED is a reliable, safe, computerised device that delivers controlled electric shocks to a casualty in cardiac arrest when the ECG rhythm is one that is likely to respond to a shock.A Health and Safety Forum at the Ilkeston site had identified that AED equipment should be considered. The Cardiff site has access to an AED which is stored at the gates to the docks.
